Range Creek – The Secret Canyon

Also Called “The Secret Canyon” was home  a large number of Fremont Indians who disappeared about 800 years ago.



Range Creek Canyon is open to the public this year from May 15 through November 30, 2011.  Access to Range Creek Canyon is administered by the Range Creek Field Station staff, under the direction of the Utah Museum of Natural History.

If you want to visit Range Creek you will need to purchase a seasonal permit for $1.00 per person. Permits are required for all public visitors over the age of five.

The area known as Range Creek Canyon is limited to pedestrian and horse traffic. In order to protect the canyon lands, maximum of 28 public visitors is permitted per day.

Range Creek Canyon is open for public use this year from May 15 until November 30, 2011. For up to date information you may want to visit the University of Utah Web Site.
