Utah

Utah is a fascinating state. We have a wide variety of outdoor activities. Just to name a few are water skiing, camping, hiking, skiing, boating and 4 wheeling.

More of Utah

If I was to drive 20 miles in any direction from my home I could either be in the mountains or on the desert.

Another Utah Page

Utah has so many beautiful places that it hard to contain a few pictures on one page. In 2005 I felt the need to start a new page.

How about Another Utah Page

Utah has a great variety of places to see and experience.

Animals

Utah has a large variety of wild life. The Yellowstone Wolves are also found in the mountains of northern Utah.

Birds

So far its only a couple pictures of  eagles, but I'll work on it this year.

Ancient Writings

Utah is covered with Indian writings. We have Petroglyphs and Pictographs in many of our canyons. Some are from the Fremont Indians, but many are as old as the Anasazi.

Flaming Gorge

Flaming Gorge is located in the northeast corner of the State. The lake is great for fishing and water skiing.

Zion's National Park

Zion's National Park is located in south central Utah.

Autumn in Utah 2003

We took a little drive up Diamond Fork near Spanish Fork. The drive was beautiful.

Nine Mile Canyon

Nine Mile canyon is really nine mile long, its more like 40. Its located east of Wellington, Utah. Over 800 sites have been found containing ancient Indian relics.

Nine Mile 2004

Nine mile is less than 40 miles from my home. Its an amazing place to explore. Each time I go there I find new writing and ruins.

Arches National Park

Arches National Park is located near Moab, Utah. The park has over 3,000 arch formations.

Arches National Park 2003

Arches National Park is my favorite place to go in Utah to go camping. Devils Garden is a pretty rough area to go hiking in. Take lots of water.

Arches National Park 2005

I purchased a new camera and I had to try it out. For East this year we went to Arches. Its real close to my home here in Utah.

Winter in Arches 2005

While we were there this year it snowed several inches. I thought Arches National Park was a beautiful before, but with a little snow it became one of the grandest  places on the earth.

Monument Valley 2005

Monument Valley was beautiful. its the only National Park maintained by an Indian Tribe. I took the tour, but even without there is quite q bit to see.

San Rafael Canoe Trip 2006

In May of 2006 I decided to do something different. I went canoeing with some friends on the San Rafael River. It was fun, but very challenging.

Nine Mile 2008

Once again we took a short trip to one of our closest and favorite places. Today we found quite a few ruins that we had overlooked before. It amazing how they still blend into the environment. The canyon is beautiful, and well worth the trip.
