On The South Rim

The South Rim at the Grand Canyon can be a very crowded place. This April wasn't too crowed compared to last June, but the weather was awful. It either rained or snowed the whole time making it even more beautiful.

South Kaibab Trail

The South Kaibab Trail is very steep without any water access. I was happy to be going down since everyone coming up looked very tired and sore.

Phantom Ranch

Phantom Ranch is like the secret place in the Grand Canyon. Its a mile straight down from the rim of the south side and a long nine and half mile walk to get there. I stayed at the Bright Angel Campground next to the Phantom Ranch.

Bright Angel Trail

Bright Angel Trail is steep, but it is the easiest trail to hike out of the canyon. Half way up is Indian Gardens Campground where I stayed. I also went out to Plateau Point to see the Colorado River.
